American actress and former Disney Channel star, Bridgit Mendler, announced on Monday that she will be serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Northwoodspace.
She shared this information on her X account, revealing that Northwood Space’s mission is to create a “data highway between Earth and space.”

Mendler mentioned that the company is working on designing ground infrastructure to expand access to space, emphasizing the exciting challenges that lie ahead. The 31-year-old songwriter also disclosed that the company has secured $6.3 million in funding.
In a surprising revelation in a follow-up tweet, Mendler shared that she is a mother to a 4-year-old boy. She expressed her joy at being a parent, describing it as the most significant gift and defining experience. This marks the first time Mendler has publicly spoken about her journey into motherhood.
In an interview with CNBC, Mendler explained her passion for space law, stating that she “completely fell in love with space law” while working at the Federal Communications Commission’s Space Bureau.
She emphasized the challenges in sending data to and from space, noting the difficulty in finding access points for satellite communication.
Mendler collaborated with the agency in 2022 and has an educational background that includes studying at the University of Southern California, MIT, and Harvard, as per her LinkedIn profile.
