Benefits

– Scholarships can cover up to 50% of tuition fees and will be applied to the student’s fee account.
– Renewable annually, subject to academic progression.
– Note: Awards cannot be deferred to the 2025/26 academic year.

Requirements

– Applicants must apply for a scholarship after receiving an offer to study an eligible full-time undergraduate degree program at the University’s Newcastle city center campus for the 2024/25 academic year, assessed as international for fee purposes.

– Ineligible applicants include postgraduate, medicine, dental surgery, oral and dental health sciences applicants, those applying through Clearing, study abroad and exchange students, currently registered students who have commenced their undergraduate degree, students with fees changing to “home,” and students repeating courses.

– Applicants must be domiciled in India, Kenya, Malaysia, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, Ukraine, or the USA.

– Applicants should have or expect a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent.

Selection Process

– Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and information provided in the scholarship application form.
– Selection criteria include evidence of academic ability, commitment to studies, and the quality of the application.
– Successful applicants may be contacted for additional information.

Application Procedure

– Successful applicants cannot receive a VCES award and an award from specific university scholarship schemes simultaneously.
– Late applications will not be considered.
