Costs
The StartUp Academy is funded by Allan Gray Makers, covering all program costs, along with a basic transport allowance. Applicants are only required to contribute their commitment, time, and energy.
Eligibility
– Age between 18-34 years.
– South African citizen or permanent resident.
– Completion of a relevant learning program in Plumbing or Electrical Trades with N6 and 18 months apprenticeship.
– Qualification to take a trade test (holding a trade test certificate is advantageous).
– Locations: Gauteng (Johannesburg City, Ekurhuleni City, Mogale City, and Ruimsig), Mpumalanga (Gert Sibanda Municipality), Kwa-Zulu Natal (Ethekwini District), and Eastern Cape (Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan).
– Industry focus: Plumbing & Electrical.
– Intentions: Aspiring business ownership.
