Akande highlighted the necessity for leaders to take decisive actions, including firing appointed public officials who fail to meet their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

He expressed concern about the pervasive insecurity and widespread hardship in the country, emphasizing the importance of holding officials accountable for their actions.

Drawing attention to corruption and collusion within certain agencies, Akande called for thorough investigations and punishment for those responsible.

He questioned the lack of consequences for oil theft and the failure to meet OPEC quotas, stressing the corrosive impact of corruption on the nation.

Akande also addressed the burden faced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that it goes beyond the promises made in 2015 to include the burden of truncated hope.

He appealed to leaders, including President Tinubu, to demonstrate courage and boldness in addressing the challenges facing the country.

In conclusion, Laolu stressed the importance of applying courage and boldness, particularly within critical institutions like the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), to reform the economy and overcome current challenges.

This call for bold leadership underscores the urgency of addressing Nigeria’s complex issues through decisive and courageous actions.
