During a reception for military families in Abuja on May 11, Meghan Markle paid tribute to Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, by wearing a diamond-embellished necklace.
The necklace, reportedly a recent gift from Prince Harry, featured a diamond-embellished cross hanging from a gold chain. Meghan styled her hair in a textured bun, allowing the necklace to stand out, and wore a strapless column dress by St. Agni.

Earlier during their visit to West Africa on May 10, Meghan subtly honored Princess Diana by wearing a gold collar necklace reminiscent of one worn by the late princess during her tour of the country with King Charles III in 1990.
Meghan paired the gold accessory with a peach-colored maxi dress, while Prince Harry wore a cream-colored button-down shirt and matching pants.
During their time in Nigeria, Meghan also shared insights into motherhood, including a touching exchange with her daughter, Princess Lilibet, who is about to turn three.
Meghan recounted how Lilibet told her, “Mama, I see me in you,” which left a lasting impact on her. She expressed how she sees herself in her daughter and also sees reflections of herself in the kindergarteners she was speaking to at the Lightway Academy.
