The Conference of Youth on Environment and Climate (COYEC) 2024 is a three-day hybrid event aimed at convening climate activists and influencers from various regions of Nigeria and Africa.
COYEC’24 aims to inspire Africans to engage in environmental and climate initiatives within their communities, foster collaboration among organizations, and generate new ideas and solutions for environmental and climate challenges specific to Africa.

Scheduled to take place from the 4th to the 6th of June 2024 in Lagos State, Nigeria, the conference aims to offer practical training and ample opportunities for participants to learn from industry experts on a variety of environmental issues, including climate change, biodiversity loss, renewable energy, and sustainable development.
The overarching goal of COYEC is to equip Africans with the knowledge and skills needed to address climate and environmental issues effectively.
The conference of youth 2024 serves as a platform for young people to engage in discussions and take concrete actions toward mitigating climate change.
This hybrid event features a diverse program including keynote lectures, plenary and parallel sessions, technical presentations, panel discussions, roundtable sessions, a Climate Innovation Hackathon, exhibitions, and more.
