Through this initiative, young individuals will receive leadership training and opportunities to collaborate with elected officials and community members to address societal challenges and co-create transformative solutions.
The Civic Leadership Programme (CLiP) aims to equip five (5) young individuals from Enugu East Senatorial District with the necessary skills to engage in community activities and civic responsibilities.
These Champions will play a vital role in enhancing youth participation in local democracy by influencing their peers and community members, developing resources, and engaging strategically with elected officials.
Eligibility Criteria
We are seeking young individuals who:
– Are based in Enugu State, preferably within Enugu East Senatorial District.
– Are aged between 18 and 29.
– Have some experience or interest in youth-led initiatives, whether in personal, professional, educational, or organizational settings.
– Have encountered additional barriers to participating in similar opportunities.
– Have not previously engaged in similar programs.
– Have a disability.
– Possess strong communication skills, creative thinking abilities, comfort with technology, and enjoy collaborative work.
– Can commit a minimum of 20 hours per month for eight (8) months.
Program Benefits
Participants will receive:
– Comprehensive training and support, regardless of prior experience.
– Monthly compensation equivalent to 50,000 Naira for their time and effort.
– Reimbursement for any additional expenses incurred during participation, such as extra data for online sessions and transportation costs.
The CLiP program will run for 9 months, with Champions expected to actively contribute for 8 months, dedicating a minimum of 20 hours per month to the program.
