Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has given the green light to immediately commence promotions for all staff members at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH).
Fubara made this announcement in Port Harcourt during a meeting with members of the newly inaugurated RSUTH board.

The governor’s decision is aimed at boosting morale and recognizing the dedication of healthcare personnel.
He urged the RSUTH board to quickly initiate the promotion exercise for the hospital’s workforce.
Sir Siminalayi reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of healthcare workers and strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the state.
Following the governor’s meeting with the board, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Professor Chizindu Alikor, commended Fubara for approving staff promotions.
Alikor highlighted that the governor’s gesture emphasizes his dedication to improving the welfare of healthcare professionals and ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services to the people of the state.
He expressed gratitude to the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze Oreh, for providing exemplary leadership and continuous support to enable RSUTH to deliver quality healthcare services in the state.
