According to different sources, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)has accused Ejikeme Mmesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi, Anambra State, was accused of forging her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) alleged that she manipulated her score from 249 to 362, which she claimed was the highest score for the 2023 UTME.

However, Mmesoma has denied the allegation, stating that she printed her result from the JAMB portal and was not capable of forging her result. She also claimed that the QR code on the result was scanned and it showed another name, a Yoruba name, Omotola Afolabi, 138, and that the same person that got 138 was checked again and the person scored 238, meaning that the result was not hers. The Anambra state government has set up a panel of inquiry to investigate allegations that Ejikeme Mmesoma manipulated her 2023 UTME result.
Furthermore, the management of Innoson Automobile Company has stated that the N3 million scholarship awarded to Ejikeme Mmesoma will remain valid if she is proven innocent of the allegation made by JAMB regarding result manipulation. The Head of Corporate Communications at Innoson Group, Cornel Osigwe, conveyed this stance while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Onitsha on Monday.

However, Innoson is conducting an independent investigation to ascertain the veracity of the claim.
Innoson had earlier awarded the scholarship to Mmesoma after she purportedly emerged as the candidate with the highest score in the 2023 Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination (UTME).
