About the Programme

The Kano State Postgraduate Scholarship Programme was revived in 2023, and launched its first batch in October 2023, during which 550 students were sponsored for Master’s programmes in India and Uganda.

For the second batch, the government continues to offer this life-changing opportunity to outstanding graduates.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, applicants must:

1. Be a Recognised Indigene of Kano State.
2. Hold a First-Class Honours Degree or its equivalent from a reputable university or institution.
3. Be 30 years or younger for 4–5-year degree holders OR 35 years or younger for longer programmes.
4. Provide a valid medical fitness certificate to prove good health.
5. Be ready to attend a physical screening interview.
6. Have completed NYSC service or provide a valid exemption or exclusion certificate.
7. Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship or full sponsorship programme.
8. Submit a 500-word personal statement explaining why you should be selected.
9. Agree to the terms and conditions of the scholarship upon award.

4. WASC/GCE/SSCE/NABTEB/NBAIS Certificate.
