Applications are now open for the Government of Austria Ernst Mach Undergraduate Scholarship 2025
The Ernst Mach Grant Programme, named after the renowned Austrian physicist and philosopher Ernst Mach (1838–1916), is funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and Research (BMBWF). This program is designed for international students and young researchers who wish to come to Austria for study or research purposes.

Benefits
Successful applicants will receive a monthly grant of €1,300, amounting to €15,600 annually.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Ernst Mach Grant, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Exchange students only who:
- Are enrolled in a Master’s program at a university in one of the specified countries of origin, OR
- They are pursuing a bachelor’s program at a university in one of the specified countries of origin and have successfully completed at least four semesters by the time the grant begins.
- Have been accepted as an exchange student at FH Salzburg (Contact person: Tina Gsenger).
- Demonstrate excellent proficiency in English and/or German.
- Plan to stay in Austria for 4 to 10 months.
- Are 35 years old or younger.
- Have not studied, conducted research, or engaged in academic work in Austria in the six months preceding the start of the grant.
