Namukwaya’s journey to becoming a mother involved fertility treatments, and she gave birth through a special surgery at the same hospital, with fertility experts overseeing the process. Despite her age, she is reported to be in good health and able to walk around the hospital.

This isn’t the first time Namukwaya has used fertility treatments. In 2020, she had a daughter through in vitro fertilization (IVF) at the same hospital. The International Women’s Hospital Centre highlighted her case as a significant achievement, as she is now the oldest woman to give birth at that hospital.

Advancements in fertility treatments, especially in vitro fertilization (IVF), have been successful, allowing more people to experience the joy of parenthood. Namukwaya’s story is similar to others around the world, like a 73-year-old woman in southern India who gave birth to twin girls in 2019 after IVF treatment.

These stories show how medical progress can bring happiness and make dreams come true for people and families worldwide, especially in the journey of becoming parents.
